Making a Difference In The World
At Ingage, not only are we passionate about our work, life, and making a visceral difference for our clients—we are passionate about making a difference in the world. This year we have chosen to sponsor a program with Nurturing Minds to support The Sega Girls School, in Morogoro, Tanzania.
Nurturing Minds is a US-based non-profit organization that supports quality education for bright, motivated Tanzanian girls who otherwise would not attend school due to extreme poverty. By breaking out of these historical cycles, these young women will gain the necessary tools and confidence to further their education and eventually fill leadership roles at all levels of society.
The goal between now and the end of the year is to help Nurturing Minds raise $150,000 for a permanent facility where girls can learn in an environment void of hunger or the fear of being abused. Ingage partner, Karen Davis and her 15 year-old son, Dustin Levine traveled to Tanzania in August and climbed one of the World’s Seven Summits, Mt. Kilimanjaro (19,340 feet) in an effort to raise awareness and funds for The Sega Girls School. Check out the pictures on our

Per Goldman Sachs' Dina Habib Powell's CNN.com commentary on Educate a Woman, Create a Nation
"...a 1 percentage point increase in female education raises the average level of gross domestic product by .37 and raises annual GDP growth rates by .2 on average." With initial seed funding, Nurturing Minds opened a day program last year in a borrowed classroom to provide remedial schooling for girls.
